Hey everyone! I just stumbled across something super cool while browsing for budget gaming setups, and I thought I’d share and get your thoughts on it.
Have any of you heard about or tried out using low-power servers as budget gaming PCs? I was doing some research on affordable builds and came across a discussion where someone used an older, budget-friendly server like an HP ProLiant or Dell PowerEdge for gaming. These servers are surprisingly cheap and seem to offer pretty solid performance, considering the price point. They can have multiple CPU sockets and use older Xeon processors which are dirt cheap now but still pack a punch in terms of raw power!
I’m really curious if anyone here has tried this out or if there are specific configurations you would recommend? How do they handle gaming, especially with some of today’s titles, and what’s the GPU situation like since space can be tight in those cases?
Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences! Maybe we can compile some tips for turning these servers into budget gaming beasts!
