Is anyone ACTUALLY gaming on a prebuilt under $100?
For years on this forum, I’ve seen posts and YouTube “guides” about scoring a prebuilt gaming PC under $100 that’ll supposedly run the latest games. But honestly, has anyone here found a legit solution that doesn’t require replacing nearly every component or dropping another $200 just to get to playable frame rates?
Every listing I see on Craigslist or eBay is either ancient office desktops with DDR3, or ex-enterprise machines with locked BIOS and no real GPU support. Once you factor in a halfway decent used GPU, upgraded RAM, SSD, power supply, and Windows 10 license, aren’t you already blowing past the $100 mark? Or do people just run Linux and play indie games from a decade ago?
What am I missing here? Is it realy possible anymore, or are these claims just clickbait and wishful thinking? Let’s get real—who’s playing what AAA titles on a full PC build for a Benjamin or less, and how bad are the compromises?
